Poetry Slam: Shakespeare modern

Sollte Shakespeare heute noch gelesen und aufgeführt werden? Auf jeden Fall!

Während der letzten Wochen beschäftigte sich der Englisch LK der Stufe Q1 mit Shakespeares Drama „Macbeth“ und den bekannten Sonetten.

Dabei konnten die Schülerinnen und Schüler selbst in die Schauspielerrolle schlüpfen und inszenierten verschiedene Szenen von Shakespeares Drama auf der Bühne.

Außerdem traten die poetischen Talente des Kurses zu Tage, als sie moderne Versionen des bekannten Sonetts 18 Shall I compare thee to a summer‘s day? schrieben und dabei moderne Bezüge herzstellten bzw. die Sprache abwandelten. In einem Poetry Slam wurden schließlich die drei besten Poeten(teams) gekürt.

Shall I compare thee to a melody?

Thou art more charming and delightful:

Crooked tones do often harm the harmony

And the unlasting tune was all to fateful

Sometime too noisy the timbre meets thy face

And often not a soul wants it to hear

And even the longest creations once erase

By final tone or silent disappear:
